Chief Askew had a short entry on Friday when not much was going on. “Another pretty day. Fair and warm today, fine weather on Farmers preparing their land, planting and Etc.”

In today’s issue of the Newnan Herald, the syndicated columnist Frank Parker Stockbridge, who was carried on the left hand side of the front page, ruminated about economists and politicians. Paid subscribers can read on and decide if anything he says sounds familiar.

The advertisement aimed at gardeners appeared in the Newnan Herald.
