It was Palm Sunday in 1930, just as it is today. Chief Askew said it was a fair and warm day, with lots of people driving around in the afternoon enjoying “the warmest Sunday we have had this year.”

The only crime of note was the theft of a new tire sometime Saturday night. The thieves “left a new Jack under [the] wheel where they got the tire,” he wrote…
