The chief was once again writing about Ben Moseley Jr. today, the young man who had gotten drunk at the hosiery factory and shot himself in the leg. The sheriff and several other law enforcement officers had attended his hearing before Judge Rook in Carrollton. “They came back about 3:30 p.m. and said Judge Rook would decide by Tuesday what would be done in Moseley’s case,” Chief Askew wrote.
