Police catch a trio of bootleggers; an 'incorrigble' youth leads life of crime
“Someone went in Fred Arnold’s dry goods store last night in early part of night. Broke glass and went in from rear — he missed four or five dollars this morning,” Chief Askew wrote in his diary today. A dollar in 1930 money is equivalent to more than $19 in today’s money, so Mr. Arnold was out close to $100.
