Chief Askew learned Sunday afternoon from an Alabama sheriff that a 19-year-old white man had been arrested with the Dodge sedan stolen from a Newnan man “a few nights ago.” The owner, a Mr. Pitman, and a few others left Monday afternoon to retrieve the car — and the accused thief.
