Louisiana, home of the Big Easy and, during the 1920s and 1930s, the notoriously corrupt and high life lover Huey Long, never bothered to enforce Prohibition. In fact, Louisiana is the only southern state that had not already banned alcohol when national Prohibition was ratified in 1919.
