They hear the Methodist bishop preach
A new church was dedicated in Rome today, South Broad Methodist, and Bishop W.B. Beauchamp, newly appointed presiding bishop for the Methodists in Georgia, came to town to preach. The Lanhams attended the service, and then stayed for dinner on the grounds. Mr. Lanham doesn’t mention the sermon, but described the meal as “fine and abundant.”
