Kiwanis Club discusses a park for poor kids

The Kiwanis Club of Rome met today, possibly at the Forrest Hotel on Broad Street. Members were asked to report on their “building buddies,” which may have been a membership retention plan popular with civic clubs for many years. Members were paired up with “buddies” who worked or lived nearby to encourage each other to have perfect attendance.
