Heat wave brings 101-degree weather
It was indeed a hot July day today, with the high of 101 degrees. Mr. Lanham had not slept well, but got up at five to bathe, shave, eat breakfast and head to the store. Imagine what it must have been like in those days with no air conditioning. I’m sure the high ceilings and fans at Lanham & Sons helped, but not much.
