Lanham & Sons closed at noon today, as was its new custom, and the family took off for a Sunday school picnic at Big Cedar Camp near Cave Spring. Ah, those were the good ol’ days, when banks and other businesses often closed mid-week and leisure activities didn’t have to be crammed into the weekend.
