He does more gardening; President Coolidge's father dies

It was more garden work today for Mr. Lanham’s yard man, Mr. Holloway, who had finished spading up the backyard and began building a brick wall. Mr. Lanham continued to put out new rose bushes.

I am sure, though, that he said a few prayers this morning for President Calvin Coolidge, whose widowed father, John C. Coolidge, had died at his home in Vermont.…
