It was still raining today in Rome. For some reason, Mr. Lanham had to walk to the street car line “covered only by Julia Anne’s little umbrella,” which creates a hilarious image in my mind! Fortunately a friend saw him and gave him a ride to his car.

It was “Rally Day” at Sunday School. Attendance was poor, “but a very good programme,” he wrote.
