The Floyd County Fair was winding up its annual activities today. Mr. Lanham was working and said business was “good,” but not as good as the Saturday before. His mother and her sister, Willie, went to the fair that afternoon. The fair was staged by a local post of the American Legion and was considered quite a success, according to a subsequent article.
