Today Mr. Lanham’s wife and daughter went to Atlanta with Mrs. Phinizy, his mother-in-law, to visit “Paul and his family.” He kept busy, working in his mother’s garden with his paid helper, Mr. Holloway. He also “trimmed” the window at Lanham & Sons and wrote up an ad for the local newspaper.

Lanham and Sons is located at 401 Broad Street. I visited Rome…
