It was a cloudy and cool day in Rome, but Mr. Lanham was cheered that “daffodils are blooming most everywhere.” The flower-loving lawyer continued in a poetic vein. “Anne has cut some flowering quince in the bud stage, and the fat, chubby buds are opening into apple blossom pink flowers.
