More mumps, and a lurid shooting in Atlanta
The mumps continued to spread in Rome, with Mr. Lanham learning of three more adults who had come down with it. Julia Anne was better, however, and because her mother had spent so much time cooped up at home with her, Mr. Lanham gallantly skipped a dinner honoring a local judge so Anne could go to her Wednesday prayer meeting.
