Ah, cruel January weather!

Yesterday’s warm, spring-like weather was just an illusion, as today was cloudy with a cold rain that changed to snow by night. The snow fell until 8 p.m., leaving “everything lovely and white. But soon began to melt,” Mr. Lanham wrote.
