Anne goes to an 'entertainment'

Julia Anne was restless all night with fever, keeping her parents awake. It was still cloudy and cool when her father got up for work. He cut some Sunburst and Butterfly roses and admired the gladiolus in his garden. (The photo is a Butterfly rose, which features different colored flowers on the same bush.)
