Doctor recommends a tonsilectomy

Mr. Lanham felt so ill today he spent it in bed. His fever rose to 101.4, his head and back ached, and the pain was on both sides of his throat now. Dr. Harbin made a housecall and advised him to have his tonsils out as soon as the present crisis subsided.
