Not much news from Mr. Lanham today, other than comment on his garden and the slow day at the store. He was home and in bed by 11 p.m.

Perhaps he had time to peruse the Atlanta Constitution, which was brimming with accounts of elected officials being accused or arrested for violating Prohibition laws.
