Mr. Lanham was at the Rome train station by six to catch the early train to Atlanta. Unfortunately, the train was late and lost more time on the way, so he was late meeting two other Kiwanians at the Ansley Hotel. They got into a car and headed off for Augusta, picking up two other men along the way.
