Mr. Lanham and his four companions left Athens early in the morning, visiting friends in Monroe and then to Atlanta. He remarked on one of his companions, a Rev. Edmondson, who “knew everyone in all the country we passed through, going and coming, had a great time calling his fellow preachers and playing jokes on them.”
