Things were getting back to normal at the Lanhams’ house, as Julia Anne’s illness was waning and both she and her mother got a good night’s sleep. Mr. Lanham himself did “quite a bit of running around today.” The little girl received “some really lovely dahlias a day or so ago” from a family friend, he wrote.
