Thanks to the detective work of Mrs. Culp Fan Ginger Pedersen, I can now share Mrs. Culp’s first name and some details of her life before she came to America.

She was born Margarethe Neumann on January 14, 1882 in Berlin. Here is a picture of her birth certificate:
