Mrs. Culp took her new shoes to the shoemaker to get the heels lifted half an inch. In the afternoon, she and a friend went to Ballast Point, a popular park, beach and gathering place in Tampa, and had a few drinks. “Broiled chicken for supper.” Here is a picture postcard of Ballast Point from that time.Vintage postcard found on eBay
