More money goes out of the bank account...
Walter paid the workers at Edison Street $94.80 (equivalent in current money: $1,770). Mrs. Culp paid Mr. Rosenberg $3 in cash and gave him an oil cookstove valued at $2.50 in compensation for his 10 percent commission on the purchase of the bedroom suite. She also made another shopping trip to Table Supply. They are hemorrhaging money!
