The pain from her tooth extraction easing, Mrs. Culp went out in the afternoon with her friend Mrs. G to the Kress store, saw the dentist ("everything o.k. Paid him $4”) and bought a union suit, size 50, for Walter. We usually think of union suits as long underwear, which would be stifling for a Floridian to wear, but they were also made for summer wear…
