A tooth that had been bothering Mrs. Culp began to hurt so much that she bowed out of her bridge game (Jackie took her place) and chewed an Aspergum. Remember Aspergum? It was introduced in 1928 and consisted of aspirin delivered in orange or cherry-flavored chewing gum. They looked a lot like Chiclets. Production was discontinued in 2006.
