Tampans prepare for Thanksgiving
With the cold lingering in Tampa, Mrs. Culp stayed home all morning, Two more people came to look at some oil stoves she was selling, but they wanted two-burners and hers were one-burner.
In the afternoon, she went to the A&P store and bought six gallons of kerosene. An ad in The Tampa Tribune the previous Friday advertised three gallons for 27 cents.
