Who were the Culps and where had they lived?
The Culps were already married when the emigrated to America in 1903 from Germany, traveling on the German liner SS Pennsylvania. Apparently they first settled in Illinois, where William was born in Chicago in 1906. A daughter, Lillian, was born in Illinois in 1909.
