A tooth that had been bothering Mrs. Culp began to hurt so much that she bowed out of her bridge game and chewed an Aspergum. Remember Aspergum? It was introduced in the 1920s and consisted of aspirin delivered in orange or cherry-flavored chewing gum. Looked a lot like Chiclets. Production was discontinued a few years ago.
