Mrs. Culp’s son William drove her to the city market for some shopping. “Walter’s shoulders are swollen up, might be his toxic condition,” she wrote mysteriously. She brought Walter some supper upstairs in their suite from the dining room, but he didn’t feel like eating. “Took a walk by myself after supper to town,” Mrs. Culp wrote.
