Apparently recovered from her upset stomach, Mrs. Culp began making curtains for her bedroom. Here, one of my 1930s dollhouse dolls reenacts her activity, using a shiny black Singer sewing machine.

This photo, which came from an eBay auction, shows a 1937 Singer machine with all the attachments, including an operator’s manual and an oil can.
