Mr. and Mrs. Cruz, who had been so helpful when the Culps were in Havana, came for a visit to Tampa with their son and an elderly aunt, Mrs. DeCastro. They came bearing gifts: a bottle of perfume for Mrs. Culp, a “bottle of the best whiskey” for Walter and a box of guava jelly.
