Today Mrs. Gunn and a friend “had a great deal of shopping to do and so we had to spent most of the day at it.” They were looking for dresses and she found a green suit she liked, but does not say if she bought it. They relaxed over lunch at O’Donnell’s Seagrill, probably at its 1221 E Street location. Washington’s main shopping district at the time was F Street. The vintage postcard is being offered by a dealer on eBay.
