Today Mrs. Gunn joined a luncheon party at the home of the Sewelers “and had a lovely time.” She doesn’t mention what was on the menu, but said “Dr. Seweler showed us his beautiful Chinese rugs — my they were certainly beautiful.”

Perhaps one resembled this vegetable-dyed wool beauty, dating from 1920, which is being offered by a dealer on eBay.
