It was a typical weekday of teaching classes, taking Margaret to the hospital for an afternoon with Mary Elizabeth, and working on his dissertation. “M.E. seemed very bright,” he wrote happily. “She is much better than she was.” He also noted that Margaret had hired a Mrs. Weaver to clean the house and she had been at it all day.
