Professor Hamilton's Diary: Aug. 10 and 11, 1935
They travel to Lake Placid to see ice skating and venture on to Montreal
The Hamiltons continued their road trip with daughter Gwennie, driving to Lake Placid, New York on August 10 and continuing the next day to Montreal.
In Lake Placid they paid 75 cents each for standing room tickets to see the Ice Carnival, which was ending that night. It was worth the money, he wrote, as they “enjoyed wonderful figure skating to music and such stars as Maribel Vinson.”
