Because Mary Elizabeth was still feeling bad and on the advice of her doctor, the Hamiltons postponed painting his room until next week. The day was spent much like the day before, caring for the sick child and reading. Probably Anthony Adverse, as he seems to be hooked on that book.

Front page news in the Reading Times today was about the fall of a local man who headed a troupe of aerialists while performing at New York City’s Palace Theatre. You may have seen a Broadway play there. Paid subscribers can read on.
