In addition to teaching today, Professor Hamilton attended a lecture by the prominent minister Dr. Daniel A. Poling, who was president of the International Society of Christian Endeavor, an interdenominational youth organization. He was also editor of the Christian Herald magazine, a post he held for almost 40 years. Poling sounded a warning cry about a looming second world war in a talk called “Wings Over Europe.” His visit to Albright College was part of an extensive speaking tour in the United States.

Poling was the author of numerous books. His 1959 autobiography, above, is being offered by a dealer on eBay.
