Professor Hamilton’s older daughter Gwendolyn did not feel well today and stayed home from school in the morning. (Imagine! School reopened the day after New Year’s!) He took down the Christmas tree and helped his wife Margaret clean up the house, then spent much of the day researching and typing his dissertation.
