Professor Hamilton continued revising and typing his thesis today. He checked with the college about a summer school class he had offered to teach but only two students had signed up so it was cancelled. He listened to the radio for awhile in the evening, a performance of Bach chorales and fugues which he said was “very good.”

The vintage postcard shows the WGN radio station in Chicago. The radio station was owned by Col. Robert McCormick, who also owned the Chicago Tribune. WGN stood for “World’s Greatest Newspaper.” He was a dedicated Roosevelt hater. Card being offered on eBay.
