During his last day in Reading before rejoining his family, Professor Hamilton went into action. He cleaned out the furnace and fireplace and vacuumed the rugs, then read through his backlog of New York Times Book Review sections. Once again he supped at the Thomas Jefferson Tea Room, and then spent the evening reading and packing for his trip to Bronxville.
