In an unusual diary entry, Professor Hamilton wrote a headline at the top of the diary page, “Commencement at College,” and described in some detail the proceedings that day, including the address by noted radio man Lowell Thomas, who reminisced about his friendship with Lawrence of Arabia.

June 10 is also known as the birthday of Alcholics Anonymous.
