Professor Hamilton left his family in Bronxville this morning and reached Reading about 12:30. “Worked around the house. Rested,” he wrote. A devotee of tea rooms, he had supper at Barbara Ann’s in downtown Reading, then returned home to work on his thesis. This is how he will spend the next few weeks as he struggles to meet his deadline, unencumbered by the demands of fatherhood.
