Albright College’s 55 graduating seniors prepared for their big day by attending a baccaulareate service at St. John’s Reformed Church. “We wore our caps and gowns,” he wrote. The sermon was given by the Rev. T.K. Leinbach and was covered in the Monday Reading Times.

I must say it wasn’t the most inspiring of messages, but a much more inspiring one was given by President Roosevelt at his semi-weekly press conference. He was asked, “What is the social objective of your administration?” His thoughtful reply could be a model for anyone in public service.
