Professor Hamilton's Diary: March 1, 1935
He buys some fabric at the textile mill; phony prince is unmasked in court
The professor taught his morning classes but “afternoon class did not materialize as students were away to sing in chorus at Allentown.” He took Gwennie and his mother-in-law with him to do some errands, including buying some fabric at a textile mill for Margaret. Reading had tremendous knitting and hosiery mills; I don’t know what sort woven fabric was made there.
Readers of the Reading Times were titilated by a front-page story regarding a bogus Russian prince who had worked for a detective agency entrapping married women in romances so their husbands had grounds for divorce.
