The Hamiltons roused themselves from their sick beds today and went out (his emphasis), attending a concert at the Rajah Theatre by the celebrated pianist Josef Hofmann. “It was fine but neither she nor I fully enjoyed it, because were were thinking of Mother at home with the baby,” he wrote.
