After yesterday’s spring-like weather, the Hamiltons awoke to high winds and had to keep their childen inside. Gwennie managed to occupy herself, but baby Mary Elizabeth was very fussy with little appetite. Her parents grew anxious about her ears.

Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with an afternoon at the Maryland mansion of Joseph P. Kennedy, father of the future president. Paid subscribers can read on. Click below to upgrade.

The card here was one of many sent to the Roosevelts from supporters and is part of the collection of the FDR Presidential Library and Museum in Hyde Park.
