Baby needs another transfusion; eyeglasses are advertised
At the end of another busy day, the Hamiltons were told by Mary Elizabeth’s doctor that she needed another transfusion because her blood was “low.” This generally means a low red blood count. The doctor assured them it was a preventive measure. Because Professor Hamilton had given her a pint of blood recently, they called Margaret’s father, who had the same blood type, but he could not come down. “So Dr. Landis said I would do,” he wrote. The procedure was planned for the following day.
Yesterday I got an examination and fitted for a new pair of eyeglasses and had to swallow hard at the price: well over $500. Well, you gotta have them in order to see, and I guess were are lucky such a thing is available. And the assortment of frames on the market can’t be beat.
